Breaking News: Pope Benedict xvi to resign
Pope Benedict XVI is to resign on February 28th, according to reports from the Vatican. Unconfirmed reports say the Pope started using a cane on occasions and recently he appeared to have trouble
reading the text of an address he delivered in Rome.

There are also speculations that his resignation could be on health grounds.
However, there have been no immediate comment from the Vatican in respect to his resignation.
The 85-year-old became Pope Benedict XVI in April 2005 following the death of John Paul II.
At 78, the former Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger was one of the oldest new popes in history when elected.
He is the first Pope to have opted for resignation in centuries.
